Not really, I had a PDA at one point and really got to rely on it but after I got my first laptop I found the PDA to be more of a problem than an asset. I had to support PDA'a but not smart phones for several years after that and most of the time they continued to be more of a problem than I would have felt they were worth. That said the users alway argued that they could not live without them. All of them had laptops and usually ended up booting their laptop to do what needed to be done.
