Setting up new VMs to just add domains is not an easy solution. The Barracuda 400 can host 500 domains and i could point each of those domains to a different downstream mail server anywhere on the interwebs. I could have some domains doing ldap lookups to verify users, others just sending mail to the mail server to sort out legit users...while sending email quarantine lists email to any of those domains I wanted. And since you don't have per user licensing, the more domains the merrier.
The barracuda does have issues for sure, but domain setups are really nice.
