He may not even be active on LinkedIn.   I still find that, where people
joined up in a wave of friends of colleagues nagging them, then never do
anything again -- until they need the benefits of a network, at which point
it is too late.  :)

Since we're already OT, I'll take this time to remind anyone who is
interested that I am open to LinkedIn invitations at any point, and I'll
