My Google-Fu is failing me today. One of my users told me late last year that he was getting a warning on his laptop that his battery was reaching the end of it's useable life, so I bought him a replacement. His new battery is saying the same thing and is only lasting about 45 minutes at most, even after several full discharge and recharge cycles. Is there a trick to resetting the lifetime counter on these things? I think he's got a Latitude D-series.
