Thanks! It appears to be an LSI controller.
The Server CD hinted, previously, that it had created a RAID 1 for me. Perhaps it lied. I've gone back and run the RAID setup from the "webBIOS" utility, and now I'm going through the Server disk again. If I get "the graphic" again, well, I have plenty of 3.5" diskettes and my boss has a 5.25" drive (but it's on his museum shelf)... Thanks for encouraging me to call IBM. I'll definitely do that upon my next failure! -- richard Jonathan <[email protected]> wrote on 02/24/2011 01:53:25 PM: > Also, IBM tech support, in my experience, has been VERY good (I've got > a number of IBM servers, both x86 and RISC based, and IBM has *NEVER* > let me down (I can't say the same for HP or Dell, and I've dealt with > both more than I care to).
