I set up a cross-compile environment (gcc 3.3.5 / binutils 2.15 ) a few days ago. I built those images (devfs enabled, but not automatically mounted): http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/nubus-pmac/test/miboot.image-2.4.30-PB_MB1_GCC3 http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/nubus-pmac/test/MachKernel-2.4.30-PB_MB1_GCC3 http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/nubus-pmac/test/vmlinux-2.4.30-PB_MB1_GCC3.gz The miboot image works on my PowerBook 1400. Tobias said that perhaps some architectures might have problems booting kernels built with gcc 3.x (Up to now all kernels were built with gcc 2.95.3). Especially Claus ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) might run into problems on his PowerMac 6100. I also setup a MkLinux Booter compatible kernel image that contains the Debian Installer [1]. I havn't tried whether it really works yet. http://nubus-pmac.sourceforge.net/nubus-pmac/test/MachKernel-2.4.30-PB_MB1_GCC3_DI I can see that a lot of people (in contrast to the feedback on this list) downloaded our releases from SF. Thus I will do another release in a few days if nobody objects to it till then.
