I would love something like this if it was for time. E.G. like Combustion's 'Edit' Node which let you take in multiple plates and then use a lightweight NLE for retiming, cutting back and forth and fades. But as a weird layer based system I pass. I'm not vehemently against something like this existing but I probably wouldn't use it much.
