Hi, You could use reconcile3D to get the 2D position of the axis. But I'm not sure how you would do it the other way around. Maybe use a Tracker and animate the distance from camera by hand. Or, if you have multiple points tracked on the finger you could estimate how it travels relative to your camera. That would possibly require you to write an actual object solver.
Going from 3D to 2D is obviously easier as you discard one dimension.
