Ooof! Aside from obviously agreeing with the location of notes and examples, I have to say, the readability of your example is greatly reduced from the epydoc default! Specifically, I would restore the background colors and restore bold to the headings. (I would agree bold is not needed/desirable for the function names in the Function Details.) But I have no background in web design.
