Aside from obviously agreeing with the location of notes
and examples, I have to say, the readability of your
example is greatly reduced from the epydoc default!

Specifically, I would restore the background colors and
restore bold to the headings.  (I would agree bold is
not needed/desirable for the function names in the
Function Details.)


They are there and show up here, but I couldn't upload the whole generated
documentation because of the mailing list limit on the size of posts. The
lack of colorization for the doctest example in the html generated from
HOWTO is real, however, the code needs to be indented.
