Doug, if you are concerned about the case of mixed identity, perhaps it would be a good idea to put additional restrictions just over the use of Nutch logo and "look & feel", because as it is now the license allows to use them as they are.
I don't want to hinder folks developing applications by adding legal restraints that are not critical to the project. Perhaps we should guard the Nutch logo, but that is not a big concern of mine.
There was some confusion: folks have a hard time determining the relationship between Nutch and mozDex. Byron has recently added a mention of Nutch to the mozDex "about" page. I think that's plenty to quell this confusion. I'm happy now. Thanks, Byron!
Projects like mozDex and ObjectsSearch are critical to Nutch's survival. We need institutions that depend on Nutch: that's the best long-term way to build a base of committed developers.
