NWAM is being changed so that it will only allow renaming of an object *before*
it has been committed, once committed it is no longer possible to rename.
The GUI needs to be updated to handle this by doing the following:
1) If an object is read from nwamd, then it needs to disable the rename
functionality for that object.
2) If an object is uncommitted, i.e. transient in memory, then it is safe
to rename, so the GUI needs to recognise this and enable the functionality.
