Hi all; I'm new top the list and have lurked for afew days as well as looked around in the archives. I 'm impressed there is much doing in NY, and would like to hook up my computer junk to any local existing wireless. Possibly grow my own. My Macs are a Powerbook 5300, Mac IIx, and G4 867 desktop, the PC is a Supermicro dual P2 400. I have a few questions just to get oriented.
Can I get all this junk on wireless? Is there a single card that will work with all these? Do I need a PCI for the desktops ? What about an antennae and card issues? I've read the Apple card has a fractional range of another? But that other cards will require third party software.
