there are a couple of solutions out there that let you dial-in remotely
with a PC. they offer a lot more functions than simple toggle, but also
more pricey.

there's also a pager-based version for about $500 out there from a small
company in Colorado, i forget the name. Nightwind or something like that

a better solution would be to replace that Linksys with a Cisco AP which
will almost never hang up under normal use. better yet, check that your
Linksys has the latest firmware
