sugarcrm is good for business users, but in term of code quality, i do not
think it good.
it mix php4, and php5. it use smarty as template system , i think that is a
really bad choice.

compare with the drupal, I think sugarcrm system is far more easier to
learn.


the sugarcrm is not an open souce product, you need to pay money to buy
licence.
the open souced sugarcrm -- community version is useless to commercial user.

there are many commecial plugins for the sugarcrm system. check this
http://www.sugarexchange.com/.
also the sugarcrm is well integrated with microsoft email system, that a big
advantage for commercial user.

I am work on the suagrcrm at full time at moment, you can check out
teiq.comat where i am employed.
