I've used CiviCRM for a few projects and have found it to be quite
clunky. I think the development team are working on an API but at the
moment it's quite limited.

There is always http://civicrm.org/ which is hugely flexible - not

Hey guys,
Client has requested some guidance on a CRM to use. They currently have about
18,000 members and interact with quite a few of those every week.
Any suggestions on either open source solutions that are customisable or hosted
solutions with a good API?
Cheers
Craig
