Attached a rough first draft of a change to add NodeState.exists() and to make
NodeState.getChildNode() @Nonnull. Note that the patch isn't complete yet, lots
of tests break because of it.
As discussed on oak-dev@, such changes should make it possible to push read
access checks down below the NodeState interface.
