At revision 1525623 I tightened the implementations of
{{NodeStore.reset/rebase/merge}} in {{KernelNodeStore}} and {{MemoryNodeStore}}
in the sense that they now throw an {{InvalidArgimentException}} when the
passed builder is not a builder acquired from a root node state of the same
store. This change allows for a few simplifications and decouples the two node
store implementations making {{AbstractNodeStore}} dispensable.
