It is curious that the founders of the CfSC felt that what they wanted to achive required the creation of CfSC. This implies that they felt their goals could not be achived from within the OBC, or the goals did not "fit" entirely with its constitution. Clearly, CfSC would not exist if its founders felt the goals of the two organizations were identical. In other words, why create CfSC if the OBC can do it? My impression from some members of CfSC (based on their postings here) is that they often seek unconditional support from the OBC for everything CfSC does. If that were true, CfSC would not need to exist and its agenda would be part of the OBC's mandate. I also think it is unfortunate that some members of CfSC percieve the OBC's lack of direct support as "friction". My impression is that some are interpreting statements such as "we do not support this" as "we fundamentally disagree with this". One reason may simply be that the Club does not have the resources to support everything CfSC wants.
