That is very true, however what you are describing is safer and not illegal. Nothing 
like the effect of blocking side winds as well. The only caution is if a large vehicle 
starts to turn or makes even a small swerve there is what is called a backswing of the 
vehicle which if one is to close to that vehicle may result in getting bumped. Oh yes 
do not try this while going close to trucks that are carrying loose gravel -- ouch the 
kick back of gravel. 

Of course, we could go back to the late 1800's and try doing time trials on the 
bicycles of the time with the same road conditions. Given the horse and carriage was 
still on the road, one had to be on the watch for more than uneven road surfaces. Me 
thinks, I wouldn't want to be drafting off the back of a horse and carriage. And there 
was the case of the carriage driver who use to carry a ball and chain with him and 
swing it at cyclists going by -- nice guy eh?
