The advantage of Billings is that is a central starting point for 
everyone, so those who do choose to ride, don't have to go all the way 
across town (say from Orleans to Kanata).

As you say, route 97 runs freqently to Billings (does the 97 have racks 
now?).  For the O train, one can get off at Carleton U, then go across 
Sunnyside (or one of the other connecting roads) to Bank and south to 
Billings.  One can also get off at Confederation (Bronson and Heron), 
and ride down Riverside.
