I think it's correct about the high walls being an invitation to
invisible breaking-in. Best perhaps for Obs might be HIGH but
completely see-through - e.g. railings.

Window panes with plastic laminate between two sheets are also a good
idea; they're expenisive to put in but they're hard to break, and
almost impossible to break quickly.
