Well there is a difference between a sanctioned mural and that grafitti which can be considered art in its own right in many instances. Then there is tagging which is a mess. So would you rather have the grey tagged walls at Hartleyvale or a fairly decent Mural which does enhance the wall. Perhaps they can just paint out obs festival and continue with the mural theme for the whole wall. To the best of my knowledge the mural (note no inverted commas) has not been tagged - yet! Here's an idea - if it bothers you as much as it seems to on this forum why not buy some grey paint and paint over it or organise a community paint out - could be fun too.
