Its my understanding that SAPS resources for Police Stations are allocated based on crime statistics in the area served by an particular station. If crime 'drops' in an area resources, such as personell, response vehicles, detectives etc are redeployed. If this is true we must report any crime to the Woodstock SAPS so that it appears in the monthly and cumulative statistics for our Sector (Sector One). It is said that Obs residents are apathetic. Non reporting could cost us dearly.Perhaps we could do a door-to-door leaflet drop while we are patrolling? -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of marion Sent: 13 July 2009 07:58 PM To: The Observatory Neighbourhood watch Subject: [obsnw] Re: ONW stats not matching crime reported on this forum Thanks David, this gives me a clearer picture.
