Hello, Yesterday afternoon the gate at the servitude between 19 & 21 Roman Road was broken. A neighbour (Dion) across the road caught a man breaking and removing bars from the gate. Apparently the person claimed they were going to take it as scrap metal. There is now a hole in the gate that an adult can easily fit through, getting access to the servitude that will allow discreet entry into the backs of houses along Roman and Station Roads.
We live at no. 23. I have not yet established if the servitude is council owned or owned by no 19 or 21. My housemate arrived home shortly after the incident and was informed of what had happened by Dion. I have alerted the patrol centre last night of the incident, just thought I'd record it here, too. If anyone can advise about whether the gate is council or private property so that it can be fixed, that will be appreciated.
