If its estimated just pay what is normal, nothing inflated. As long its not a reading they cannot charge you interest. You can call in the reading telephonically on reading day (I think within 24h). You can call them before and ask them for the reading date. You can (at a fee) ask them to move the meter outside the perimeter.
