Absolutely my experience as well for many months. Half the time I cannot phone out using Vodacom and get a message "Emergency calls only". Also people complain they cannot get through to me. I was not sure whether it was my phone until now. I will be moving to another provider but which ones share transmissions with Vodacom?

Apologies if slightly off-topic, but I think it's in everyone's best interest to know which cellular network is the most reliable in our area. It does have some manner of relevance to our security. I'm currently with Vodacom and reception is absolutely dismal from within my house, I cannot reliably receive calls in or out, 1 bar of reception is good, if I'm lucky. I've complained to Vodacom about this late last year, whereby they informed me that negotiations were undergoing to install antennae on the Hartleyvale spotlight towers to improve reception, which I imagine would be great in my case, becaue my house is in line-of-sight of the towers. Thing is, I'm not willing to wait in earnest... I'd be interested to know how others are fairing with their cellular reception? Maybe just keep it succinct by stating your network provider, rating your reception from 1 to 10 and which street you may be in.
