I was chatting to Vodacom about this last week. Apparently there is a dead spot, as they call it, between station road and dane street in terms of 3G - not sure how this relates to "normal" cell reception, but in my experience it's basically the same thing. The Hartleyvale tower would solve it, but is delayed due to residents' (understandable) objections.
