If you're listening to The Edge radio station then you're listening to 192kbps MP3...

It's possible to play 2 sounds outside our hearing range to produce a note within our
hearing range - such are the wonders of wave theory... It is believed by many
audiophiles that much of the richness of certain sounds come from interference
with waves outside our hearing range...

Interesting since in earlier invocations the Xing encoder was rated as one of the
worst... This may have since been remedied.... Results of distortion analysis from

I was disappointed with WMS as a compression improvement but it does produce
slightly less noticeable artifacts at the same bitrates as MP3 - Has anyone
investigated
using WMS as a recording medium ffrom any delphi applications - the APIs are available
I believe...
