A guy I know in Australia is the Asia Pacific distributor for Rising Antivirus. I naturally got a free copy and have been running it for over a year now, and as far as I am concerned, it totally outdoes Nortons, AVG (even tho its free-ish) and the others.

Free for commercial use. Gets better reviews than all the paid for ones too. Low memory and cpu overhead. With some of these you can leave the Windows Firewall on too (XP anyway).
