I gave up on Symantec a few years ago. The last major version of Zone Alarm stuffed it up totally, and the support dont give a shit about it.
We are using Nod32 now, seems to be working fine. Has lots of setup options to tweak it to your hearts desire. We went to it as it allows us to not only control the workstations remotely, but entire server sets as well.
