I like this revision of the proposal.  Consider me to be in
the +1 camp now.

I'm a bit concerned that the people doing the distros have
not weighed in on this discussion - without their participation
and active support a Distro CG will find it hard to provide
effective governance.  As a barometer or straw poll, I'd like
to see something from each of the proposed core contributers
or distro leaders before the CG gets formed - my thought is
that if they won't comment now, are we off base in assuming
that they would participate later?
