Provided that you didn't, in the process, PI somebody else's OGC.  You can't lock down somebody else's OGC as your PI.  If the work was wholly your this would be fine.

A friendlier, but similar approach is to OGC your mechanics, but to PI the verbatim _expression_ of the mechanics and their formatting (invoking the formatting and language PI protections, but refusing to invoke the concepts PI protection).

I have now seen about 5 game companies lock down some or all of their mechanics as PI if the mechanics weren't completely derived from the SRD.
