Well, I guess we're even, then--I stopped reading LOTR because it was just so, well, cliched. (Not to mention long-winded...). The Sword of Shannara was a great book, but I believe it's quite different than the LOTR in substance--and I'm almost certain that the latter books don't mirror LOTR at all.
