No, I'm ignoring those benefits because the lion's share of them are going
to the hypothetical leech. >>

BRILLIANT reasoning: ignore the benefits, declare them invalid, and insult
anyone who might provide them! Why bother actually addressing arguments when
you can simply declare them invalid because you are more "pure"?

<< We're talking hypotheticals here. I don't know of any publishers who are
planning to engage in the behavior you described. If any do, though,
they are going to be regarded as leeches by some of us open source
purists. >>

Again, don't address the points; just declare yourself to be superior and
thus privileged to insult with impunity. That advances the discussion a
whole lot.

<< If that stifles their interest in using OGC without offering
any OGC of their own, great! Take a penny, leave a penny. Do unto others
as you would have them do unto you. Don't s--t where you eat. >>

In other words, you want no participation by creators who do not share your
extreme ideological views. Thankfully, the vast majority of OG
correspondents on this list are not so narrow-mided.
