At the risk of going even MORE off topic...
There is HUGE difference between racism/sexism and just applying a
stereotype to a social group. I could say that all gamers are "geeks." I
could say that the creative staff in charge of Highlander:End Game is a
"fine example of all that is wrong in Hollywood", and I could even say that
everyone who uses drugs is a "loser."
The difference between all of these (rather offenseive) things and
racism/sexism? Simple.
*THEY CHOSE TO BELONG TO THOSE GROUPS!*
I'm not saying that stereotyping is good. I'm not saying that it's not a
nasty thing to prejudge people--I'm just saying that it isn't as bad as
Racism or Sexism.
