I actually haven't spent much time reading the Registry's materials. I will
take some time this afternoon to do so. Any license that is an Open Gaming
license should be supported by the Open Gaming Foundation.

What we need to do is to have a process to discuss if a license meets the
definition of an Open Game (www.opengamingfoundation.org/foundation.html)
and if it does, we should create a link to that license and to whatever
support organization it has on the OGF web site, and materials using that
license should be eligible for inclusion in the Registery.

Unfortunately, the FUDGE License does not meet the definition of an Open
Game, because commercial distribution of FUDGE materials requires the prior
permission of a 3rd party.

Clearly, anything under the GPL should be eligible. And while I've been
arguing the technicalities of the FDL on r.g.r.moderated, I'd be at peace if
FDL licensed materials were included. I'd also count Dominion Games'
material (at least, the last time I reveiwed their license it was clearly an
Open Gaming license, though I would want to take a look today and see if
they've changed anything).

In fact, we could make a blanket determination that anything that has been
approved by either the Free Software Foundation or the OSI should also
receive our approval as well (that will give everyone the option to use the
Apache License and the PERL Artistic License as well.)
