Hmm - Okay say I write a rulebook for my game. I have a character
creation system and a magic system. I mark in big bold letters
that the magic system is "Open Game Content", and everything else
is copyright 2000 by me and may not be distributed. Is there a
back door where someone could (somehow, under the terms of the
OGL) use the rest of my stuff? It seems so confusing on this list,
everyone seems to assume that things that aren't PI are fair game.

No. If it isn't PI, you can't close it with the OGL.

Yes...but software is special since it can't be PI.
