You gain essentially >unlimited rights< to copy, modify and distribute Open
Game Content using the OGL. How is that "not open"?
The only restriction applicable is that you cannot modify the Open Game
Content to indicate compatibility or coadaptability with someone else's
trademarks..

Well, I've seen about a dozen published-for-profit d20 books. That's a heck
of a lot of "sharing" (since WotC got paid nothing) and "reuse" since those
books contain d20 content or material derived from d20 content.
In fact, I'm aware of at least one product that uses a monster from the
Creature Collection - that's a second order sharing and reuse.
And the licenses are even formally released and the SRD isn't even OGC yet.
How much more do you expect?

Yes! That's exactly right! Without a separate agreement with Wizards, we
don't want you to use our trademarks in your gaming products.
Open Gaming is about >GAMES< not trademarks.
