I guess it all depends on what you define as "mass marketing". Other than a
few attempts to place RPG material in book and toy stores (and this doesn't
really count), there hasn't been a true "mass marketing" of an RPG other
than the Pokemon Adventure Game that WoTC did. This rpg garnered a lot of
awards from parent and teacher groups, but still had pretty poor sales. If
you haven't looked at this, pick it up (probably in the clearance section).
In a nutshell, it is designed for parents to play with their kids. The kids
roleplay being Pokemon trainers with the help of their parents (the parent
is the gm).

As for "other" d20 products, I doubt it is possible to come up with
something that is not an RPG of some sort, and still use "d20".
