I agree it would be useful to have a bi-directional converter between a d20
System and some other system. But the end-run around the character creation
rule might give you problems converting other systems into d20.

Yes, they can. The OGL is a perpetual license that cannot be revoked, but
the d20 STL is not. They can revoke your license to use the d20 logo, and
force you to stop distributing your product. If they think you were
violating their license, they can attempt to force you to recover the
product you have already distributed.

There are many who think that, most of whom work for Wizards. I happen to
agree with you, but that is wide of the mark of the d20 system. The d20
System logo and trademark is about promoting Wizards' products in addition
to third party products, and that means D&D.
