The really big suit was between Apple and the makers of the Macintosh audio
equipment. Apple had to basically agree not to get into the
amplifier/speaker business in order to use the Macintosh name brand. When
they turned the Mac into a multimedia platform and dressed it up with stereo
speakers, there was quite the hoe-down over the trademark.
