Hello everyone! I trust everyone had an excellent Holiday?

OGC awards could be a great thing, but what would the categories for the
awards be? Best designation of OGC, best original OGC content, OGC
community innovation award, best OGC adventure/supplement/etc..., OGC
achievement awards, etc. (I'm running out of ideas to list :)

And how exactly would the nominees in each category be determined? I like
the community sponsored approach, but I also think that publishers should be
allowed to submit works to the committee that will decide the final
nominees.

There will probably also have to be some form of an official "logo" to
represent the awards (like a plaque) so that publishers have the option of
putting it on their websites/published product. Of course, this doesn't
include the advertisement required to get the community to vote. ;)

I have to say I'm very interested in how this is going to turn out. I know
a lot of what is above is common sense, but I wouldn't be myself if I didn't
occasionally state the obvious. Keep us informed! :)

A.J.

the public; an award of some kind would be a nice way to do both at the same
time.

issues (meaning Open Game Content), and not be a replacement for game awards
