Hi everyone! Some of you may have heard that Necromancer is doing a bunch of monsters from old 1E sources in a book to be called the Tome of Horrors. (He he).
Anyway, it was real important to me that I credit all the original authors in that work. I think I came up with a unique way to make sure people continue to get credited. I also included in the product instructions on how to use the open game content from the book. Here is the legal appendix (relevant parts). I will include the instructions on how to use the content in other products in another post since this is getting long. I would love your comments and suggestions. Legal Appendix This printing of Tome of Horrors is done under version 1.0a of the of the Open Game License, below, and version 1.0 of the d20 System Trademark License and d20 System Trademark Logo Guide. Some of the Open Game Content used herein comes from a draft version of the System Reference Document by permission from Wizards of the Coast by and through Ryan Dancey and/or Anthony Valterra. [Insert name(s) of monster(s) used in place of this bracketed text] from the Tome of Horrors Copyright 2002, Necromancer Games, Inc.; [see the individual monster entry or entries for additional Section 15 information and insert that information here in place of this bracketed text when reusing]. That last part is the important part...it calls on the subsequent publisher to use the monster name and the original author info from the actual monster so that the original author continues to get credit!!!
