See the ?Note on the ?Credit? >Section,? below > Great OGC setup, but you might be a little ambiguous with the term "advertising material." Maybe "advertisments for other products" would be clearer. Also, shouldn't it be "... the "Credit" Section of each monster is not open game content ..." >Designation of Product Identity: The following items >are hereby designated as Product Identity as provided >in section 1(e) of the Open Game License: > >1. The name ?Necromancer Games? as well as all logos >and identifying marks of Necromancer Games, Inc., >including but not limited to the Orcus logo and the >phrase ?Third Edition Rules, First Edition Feel?; > >2. No way anyone smart enough to realize how to use the OGL can mess these up. >OPEN GAME LICENSE Version 1.0a > >[big snip] > >15. I'm all for this sort of requirement, but I'm not sure of the legal requirements about it. If it went before a judge, would they find that Section 15 of the OGL had been followed? If person X claimed that company Y voided the OGL when they did this, and X sued Y based on it, would the suit get dismissed sumarrilly, or would it go to trial? I think this might justify an alteration of the OGL ... (Doug looks at OGL, section 6) ... Holy smokes, Batman! The OGL requires that you include the COPYRIGHT NOTICE of any OGC you distribute--not the exact text of someone's entire Section 15. Who'da thunkit. :) You're the lawyer & professional game guy here, Clark. If you think you can do it, then do it. Sounds reasonable to me.
