The boring safe way to do stuff is just to do this: Tome of Horrors Copyright 2002, Necromancer Games Inc.
BORING!!! I want to be able to cite to the authors and the original source authors. If I am doing a conversion product I feel honor bound to do as much as possible to credit the original creators--even if they dont have any rights to the material. Surely this community of gamers has the collective brain power to solve this. Why cant filling a placeholder that provides specific instruction on how to fill it be "exact" within the meaning of the license when the purpose of that section is to protect the creator of the work to be cited--which is me!
