I'm almost certain that this is a reference to the strong possibility that no more material will be released to the SRD using the Gentleman's Agreement - when released it will be fully authorised and vetted by WotC - which has been misinterpreted into the Gentleman's Agreement no longer applying.
(That said... I've no idea of what will happen with d20 Modern... Direct release or Gentleman's Agreement? Only a day or so until I find out, I guess!)
