I'm a bit confused. When I read the OGL regarding Section 15, I interpret "exactly" as the copyright designation for that particular book/source from where I am drawing from, not neccesarily everything that is written in that book/source's section 15.

For example (I am going to use hypothetical product names and made up S.15 for my example), I use OGC from Swashbuckling Adventures (say the firearm feats). I check SA's s.15 and see their copyright is Swashbuckling Adventures (C) 2002 Company Name. Their s.15 also includes copyrights for sources they drew OGC from (say Kiki's Gaming Stuff (C) 2002 Kiki Skywalker).

When I put the feats in my product I use "exactly" SA's copyright designation (Swashbuckling Adventures (C) 2002 Company Name), but I don't include the other stuff they wrote (Kiki's Gaming Stuff (C) 2002 Kiki Skywalker). Why? because in having incorporated Kiki's stuff into SA, the OGC now becomes part of the SA book, and unless I own Kiki's book, I cannot know what is from that source and what isn't. Since the OGC is now an integral part of SA, and I am using SA as my source, I simply use SA's copyright designation from their s.15 and I write it "exactly" and they wrote it into my own product. Exactly means that if they write Swashbuckling Adventures (C) 2002 Company Name--this is the coolest product ever and your mom must buy every single copy in existance, then that is "exactly" what I write.

Otherwise, if I use one spell from the Pocket Grimoire Arcane or Divine then I have to list every single source from which they pulled those hundreds of spells. This makes collections of OGC undesirable to say the least, when that should be exactly the opposite effect.

Am I wrong or is this a valid interpretation?
