I've been doing support email for Open Library for three months now and I whipped up a small list of numbers for people who are interested.
Outgoing OL Email (i.e. from [email protected]) - 1079 emails sent in March 2013 - 783 emails sent in April 2013 - 624 emails sent in May 2013 Almost 2500 emails. About 215/week average, but more like 150/week or 15-20/day nowadays. Some of the decline has to do with having a better FAQ, some of it has to do with fixing some bugs, In any case, I'm happy with this. Here's where the email is coming from.... Incoming OL Emails by Category (from Mar-May) Borrowing Books - 948 Buying Books - 92 Contact an Author - 49 Deletion Request - 151 (covers take downs and "please delete this duplicate record") Editing Problem - 162 Login Trouble - 360 (only 53 in May, this has gone way down since Anand fixed a few things) Other - 942 (includes Developer/API/Covers Question/Bug report category) Spam Report - 9 The FAQ has been reorganized a little, put all the questions on one page with answers on a few subpages. Kept the videos but shifted their prominence a little. If folks have suggestions or questions about the support process, feel free to ask or email me directly.
