Well, I have to totally agree with #5. When hubby
bought the '78 98, people he worked with laughed at it
and asked "where's the rest of it?" You know, because
before 77, they were really huge! Now mine looks
huge. This one idiot who was his former boss followed
us in a parking lot, and when we got out, he called
the Olds an aircraft carrier! Jealous I guess as he
was driving his "wife's" Volvo.

I always liked the fact that the bigger Olds cars
really blind you on a sunny day with all that chrome
(unfortunately on mine, a lot of trim is aluminum).

They just ride nice and are fast, even my big old
girl. I have heard the 98's were the same chassis as
the big caddys, if that's true, then you get a cushy
ride for 1/2 the price! And I have always felt they
were safer with those big steel beams in the doors.

Yeah, that new emblem, I don't know what that was
supposed to be! But it seems all the ricer brands
came up with logos (where some never had one before),
so I guess the locals had to revamp and try something
new.

When I think of GM, I think of GMC, as in trucks.
